Though many young adults on the spectrum are considered high functioning, recent research shows 40 percent don't find work — a higher jobless rate than people with other developmental disabilities experience.

Being on the spectrum, Franklin found technology and games to be a source of comfort and a way to connect with others. He continues to study and utilize accessible design so more people can experience the same.
Franklin said, "I wanted to make games, apps and websites that didn't leave out those with disabilities and special needs. As someone with Asperger's, I had a vested interested in following this passion."
